When you find yourself in a Domestic Violence situation, it's not because you volunteered to become the victim of someone's insatiable need to control and manipulate. These unpredictable relationships will keep you in a constant state of fear, isolate you from loved ones, and destroy your self confidence. One day you believe everything has changed for the better, then the next day proves you wrong.
If you ever find yourself in a relationship that has cycles/patterns of abuse (physical, mental, or emotional), pray for God to reveal to you a way of escape. You are full of purpose and your life has value. When you don't know what exactly to say, you can say the words from this prayer as a guide. Believe that change is going to come and it will.

Excerpt from Psalms 91: 9-16 (NIV)
If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
